Everyone in the house is obviously getting impatient with this job. Shaun and Desmond hacked care about earning more money, they'd rather slack at home to catch World Cup. They took MC as they have fever- World Cup Fever. Jon who originally was thinking of extending his contract, cannot wait to go home now. Even Delphine, whom I regard as the most patient and good-natured person here, is losing control. Today she literally jumped and screamed in the kitchen, bitching about her unreasonable manager. Well, I think there's bound to be a bad guy in every job right? C'est la vie.
As for me, I can't take it any longer too. Yesterday was the first time in one and a half months that I voluntarily wanted to go home early. For the past few weeks, I worked and worked, just to earn enough for the LA trip and some short trips around New Jersey. We worked an average of 11 hours daily, the most is up to 14-15 hours. I really have not worked so much in my life! Enough is enough! Yesterday I worked till I'm going bonkers. The rides are so noisy! The motor-jump, the trucks, the train, the elephants. All these rides have horns, bells or whatever they contributes to noise pollution. The dumb kids keep pressing the buttons like nobody's business and it's making so much noise! All the rides are either turning, rotating or twisting and it's making my head spin! Argh.. In the end, I requested to go home early and rest. I am sick, sick of the job. I really am. If someone wants to sponsor me the penalty of about USD 250 to change air ticket to an earlier date, I will. So I can leave this brainless job and go to LA asap. To look for Wawa and go home!!
Every week, the only things that drive me through day by day are the short trips. But it's also these short trips that are draining me of my pay. Wonderful things always come with a high price. Don't they?
